Take A Closer Look At Your Goals

Is The Goal You’re Chasing Actually Yours?
Is it possible that you are not achieving the personal and financial success you desire because you simply never took the time to really focus on what YOU actually want?
.
Maybe what you've heard, tried and done is completely wrong for you. Perhaps you have been trying to accomplish someone else’s dream. Maybe another person’s idea of success sounded great to you. So, you decided to jump on board.
.
Have you consistently felt that something wasn’t quite working in your favor? How often do you feel stuck? Do you seem to hit that brick wall over and over again? And here’s the kicker: are you truly enjoying whatever it is you’re going after?
.
Take a close look at what you have been chasing. Is it really what you want or what you think you should be doing? If you have been pursuing what equates to another person’s goal, then it is time to stop and shift gears.
.
The only dreams and goals you can successfully achieve are your own – the ones that originate from you. Everyone has their own talents and abilities. Each one of us must apply those attributes in our own way. That is why it is so important to truly look within and decide on what YOU want to accomplish and how YOU are going to pursue YOUR particular goal.
.
If you are going to achieve personal and financial success, the process must begin with you and have your own DNA stamp on it. When you decide on a goal, it needs to excite you. The goal must include your passion to accomplish it. If you enjoy the journey, you have a far greater likelihood of successfully achieving your goal – both personally and financially.

Knowing what you want is the first step

How To Get Anything You Want in Lifeby contributing author and entrepreneur Lisa Diane

Getting what you want in life is much easier than most people imagine. In fact, getting what you want requires less effort and frustration than not getting what you want..So, if that's true, then why are so many people unhappy, frustrated, living in lack and generally miserable in their lives? The answer is simple. Most people don't know what they want. And you guessed it, there's no way to get what you want if you don't know what you want..As children we were very good at knowing what we wanted. We lived "in the moment" and had very clear desires and expectations to be met. If we got what we wanted we were happy and content. If we didn't get what we wanted we would throw a fit, pout and let everyone know just how unhappy we were. What clarity we had. There was no question of what we wanted and very little that could stand in our way of getting it.
.
So what happened?
.As soon as we were old enough to understand, our parents changed the rules. They went from satisfying our every demand (which was usually in the form of crying and screaming for a bottle, to be held, for attention or for a toy or other object that was out of our reach) to using that awful two-letter word. NO!
.
NO! You can't have that. NO! We can't afford that. NO! You don't deserve that. NO! You can't always get what you want. Because I said, NO!
.We started out knowing exactly what we wanted and getting it. Then we spent the next 16 years of our lives having our parents and teachers tell us NO we can't always have what we want. They taught us to be "realistic" and not to expect too much. They said, "That's life - get used to it!".Don't misunderstand me. I'm not suggesting that children should be given everything they ask for with no thought of others or their own well-being. However, these negative messages of NO! NO! NO! only create a belief in people that they can't have what they want and they shouldn't ask for it..The first step in having what you want is knowing what you want..Think about it for a minute. Do you really know what you want?.Most people I ask don't have a clue. The best they can do is tell me what they don't want. How about you?.This is a question that should not be answered lightly. You should spend some quiet time off by yourself, really looking deep inside for all those needs, wants and desires that have gone unrecognized for so long..Once you know what you want, getting what you want is a simple process that anyone can use to create the results you desire in life. You truly can have anything you want -- KNOWING what you want is the first step..This short article is an excerpt from "When You Can Walk on Water Why Take the Boat?" by Lisa Diane – where she writes about creating any result in life you desire.
